| This double walled basket features a hardwood
double-slotted base. The interior basket is space-dyed in northwest Indian
colors. The exterior basket, woven in natural-colored reed, features a Shoshone
chevron pattern of french randing bordered by a combination 4-rod/reverse 4-rod
waling pattern, in red/orange yellow/brown. Repeat 4 rows of the waling pattern
near the top. The challenge in this basket is in the shaping and learning to
control regular and reverse 2/2 waling. Complete with a unique 8-strand braid
at the top. The rim lashing may take awhile and may need to be completed after
