Sets of inch-wide marbled spokes are separated by coordinating reed spokes, all dyed in gentle springtime colors. The pre-shaped spokes, inserted into a slotted oval hardwood base in the Nantucket fashion, ensure accurate shaping of the basket’s sides. Weave sides in an undulating twill pattern, and complete the top with two oak side handles and waxed linen lashing.
